Description

Steam Deck - 512GB Model, lightly used, comes with two DBrand tempered glass screens (one currently applied and lightly used).

I paid $960 for it in March, including the two screen protectors. I'd be willing to let it go for $850 OBO.

Since I do 3D printing, I would also be willing to throw in a free backplate cover, or a stand, or a cable/headphone holder with your name, and/or a custom design on it, for the same price.

I am located in Thunder Bay. If you live in the area, I'd be happy to drop it off. If you're located elsewhere, we can talk about shipping.

I would prefer an e-transfer as payment, but I also have PayPal (I've only used it once though).

For a handheld, it honestly blows me away. I remember when GTA V launched and I was amazed at how well it looked on the PS3. Having that game, playable on a handheld with similar graphics is astonishing.

I'm selling it because I didn't actually buy it as a gaming device (the novelty was neat, but wore off quickly). I bought it in conjunction with an external pen and touch enabled display. I do 3D printing, and have always wanted something *like* the surface pro for modelling around parts that I can't take to my workshop. Taking measurements with a caliper, writing them down, and then going back up to my computer is annoying. I wanted to use the mainboard of the Steam Deck, with my external touch/pen enabled monitor to make my own, somewhat powerful surface pro-like device. Unfortunately the Steam Deck isn't compatible with this particular external monitor (ASUS MB14AHD Zenscreen Ink), even in windows. That throws a wrench in this whole project. The Deck would have been a fantastic cornerstone of this project, as it's light, fast, and rather efficient for an x86 based system, but life had other ideas. Plus, windows on the steam deck left a lot to be desired, and fusion 360 + Linux = a bad time. All things considered, I feel better off selling this, and using the funds to buy a Framework Motherboard for this project. The Steam Deck is a fantastic gaming device, but it unfortunately can't do what I need it to.

Tech-Jargon induced rambling story aside, it has a few minor blemishes, and one missing screw (see images #6-7). I took the backplate off to take some initial measurements before testing the external display. I put all of the screws in the lid of the official carrying case. When I moved the project over to make some room, three of the screws went flying out of the carrying case. I found two, but one is missing. It still works perfectly fine without it, but I've ordered a kit containing the same type of screw just to avoid any worries. I looked at official valve documentation for the deck, and found a kit online containing that exact screw (and about 499 others). The only issue is that it won't match the other 3 (silver vs painted black). Apart from that, it's like new. That's a lot of words for a non-issue, I just wanted to be completely honest, as seeing a missing/mismatched screw would certainly make me raise an eyebrow.

All things considered, you're getting an incredible deal. Plus, a custom, one of a kind 3D printed accessory of your choosing. Feel free to reach out to me on here, or send me a text at (807) 631 6804.
